CLY Group is headquartered in Auckland New Zealand following on from initial investments into the sheep meat industry and FMCG dairy, CLY Group has consolidated these investments to underpin their export business.

Starting in 2013, CLY Group developed an ambient and temperature controlled supply chain between New Zealand and China markets. We have unique access to the China food & beverage consumer markets including retail investments in Shanghai.

Relying on strong capital, excellent business philosophy and a fully integrated supply chain between New Zealand and China, including group owned and operated retail channel.

This landmark initiative created a powerful resource and solid foundation for CLY Group right through our supply chain. At the same time, the establishment of CLY Group China operations, once again underpinned by the introduction and deployment of significant growth capital from CLY shareholders also further complete the integration model from source to sale.

Unique and Differentiated Market Access Model

CLY Group has a strong knowledge of the China FMCG market, and therefore it was obvious to the management and foundation investors that investing in the development of a “branded” premium retail channel that was owned and controlled by CLY Group and our shareholders is key. As a result CLY Group has developed and opened our own retail channel with proprietary ice cream parlors and ice cream brand “Mountain Cook” Ice Cream.

Physical Presence in China

CLY Group are aware that to build a sustainable high-end, branded consumer (FMCG) business promoting our (Trade Marked) New Zealand made goods to Chinese consumers we must invest in our own channel. CLY Group has therefore made significant investments in China enabling our firm to provide products and the consumer experience directly with our market in China. Through this model we can talk directly to the consumer and they can talk directly to us. We are building a strong connection between our consumers and our products, with thousands of new consumers sampling our premium New Zealand products every week.

“Blue Star Lamb” – Export quality lamb from the “deep south” of New Zealand hill country. Packaged in New Zealand in bulk and portion controlled retail packs to absolutely ensure the integrity and safety for our valuable partners and consumers. Our Lamb is sold in over 20 countries.

In-Market Development

We have numerous business partners in metro China, such as Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xi’an. We also have offices and teams in several key locations. Currently our products are sold in high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, free-trade zones, major supermarkets chains and whole-sale channel. We are also investing in our own physical “New Zealand” themed cafes promoting our New Zealand ice cream, meat, coffee, chocolate etc in major cities.

Up to now, our first flagship shop named NZ CORNER is opening at the end of September 2015 in Shanghai. This experience store will provide Chinese customers with NZ made Mountain Cook Ice cream, coffees made with pure NZ spring water, beef and lamb steak raised from NZ farm as well as many kinds of New Zealand traditional foods.

In the meantime, our company will hold a “New Zealand Food and Beverage Festival” in 12&13 and 26&27 September 2015 inside Shanghai KIC Plaza. People can get the chance to try food truly from New Zealand. In order to get people to know NZ organic foods, we would hold this kind of activities in the future for sure.

We have developed cooperative relationship with a famous food e-commerce platform supplier in China. This partnership provides CLY Group with another unique advantage in China. This combination of online and offline marketing method has provided extensive channels for distribution of our products. CLY Group operates with our own sales, admin and distribution infrastructure, including freezers warehouses and offices.
